Ian Connor, the 22-year-old self-purported “King of the Youth,” is not only a member of Kanye West’s creative team, but something of a muse and certainly the Yeezy poster boy. Ever since he reportedly showed up in a pair of beat-up Skechers to meet West for dinner during Paris Fashion Week, Connor’s insouciant and louche cool-kid sense of personal style has left an indelible impression on the fashionable rapper.
Between styling gigs for the A$AP Mob; tatting his entire chest with images of his beloved Raf Simons designs; and, as Kylie Jenner’s personal stylist, infusing plenty of streetwear into her much-buzzed-about wardrobe, the New York City native keeps his finger on the pulse—if not a step ahead. From test-running A$AP Rocky’s Guess collaboration overalls to slipping on Kurt Cobain–inspired fuzzy cardigans over perfectly distressed vintage tees, Connor isn’t afraid to try the most fashion-forward of trends. It’s perhaps why his massive and loyal social media following call him “Dad”—that’s how much they look up to him. Earlier this week, West tweeted images of Connor being fitted in one of the Yeezy collection’s shearling-lined coats—keep an eye out for him at Madison Square Garden today.
