Stephen Colbert takes the reins at the Late Show tomorrow night, kicking things off with an all-star lineup, including Scarlett Johansson, Amy Schumer, and George Clooney. We’ll leave Colbert’s famously witty quips to our colleagues in Vogue.com’s culture department; what we’ll be watching for is what Johansson, et al will be wearing. Back in Colbert’s Comedy Central days, the term “Colbert bump” was coined for the heightened sense of awareness an appearance on his show could bring. Considering he’s got a much wider audience now, we’ve selected six brands we’d like to see stars wear on his show. While these labels are fairly well known in the fashion world, they haven’t quite cracked the celebrity market. Before you ask why getting a star into one of your frocks matters, consider this: Joseph Altuzarra landed a Target collaboration and backing by the French conglomerate Kering after Cate Blanchett wore one of his dresses on Letterman in 2013.

Here, six labels due for a “Colbert bump” of their own.

Sacai
Japanese designer Chitose Abe is renowned for her ability to mix the accepted with the unexpected. Her bright prints and strong silhouettes could help draw attention to young actresses on the brink of making it big. Indie starlets should try out this red and navy ensemble for the Late Show, sans the scarf.

J.W.Anderson
Until recently, stars haven’t been able to wrap their heads around Jonathan Andersons avant-garde designs. But that’s about to change. Selena Gomez stepped out in an ivory version of this leather dress to much praise at the VMAs.

Iris van Herpen
Among van Herpen’s innovative 3-D-printed dresses are plenty of classic silhouettes ideal for celebrity physiques. If Gal Gadot doesn’t try out this jumpsuit on the Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice press tour, she’s making a big mistake.

Stylists are keen to shoot Alessandra Rich’s slim-cut maxi dresses. Her new collection of striped tops and overall-style skirts feels just right for Hollywood’s more experimental dressers. Paging Chloë Sevigny . . .

Bouchra Jarrar
Jarrar is beloved by fashion insiders for her precisely cut pants and tailored leather jackets, but her Fall collection proves she can make a step-and-repeat dress as well as Paris’s best.
