Jeremy Scott may have found inspiration for his Spring 2016 Moschino collection in graphic road signs and car washes, but the beauty muse for today’s show seemed to be a certain ’90s-era supermodel. Even when the likes of Hanne Gaby Odiele, Bella Hadid, and Imaan Hammam walked the runway, we thought only of one name: Linda Evangelista. It would make sense that Scott would have the supermodel on the brain, given that he tapped her for his first Moschino campaign just last year. And though she was physically absent from the catwalk, the icon seemed to be channeled in the grown-out and amply tousled pixie wigs fashioned by hairstylist Paul Hanlon. Meanwhile, makeup artist Tom Pecheux seemed to summon the supe with each sharply contoured cheekbone, feline flick of liquid liner, glossy liquid pout, and bold arched brow. It’s a look Evangelista herself might have worn out for an evening during a past Milan Fashion Week while toasting with Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell—and one we’ll be borrowing come Saturday night.
