The men’s collections in London are just wrapping up, but they certainly brought out a myriad of peacocks in the front rows. Fashion-minded stars from stage, screen, and music wrapped themselves in dapper duds ranging from formal to casual, but all with their own flair.
One of the week’s youngest attendees, Brooklyn Beckham, 16, certainly is no stranger to the front row—or fashion, for that matter. His look at Burberry’s show was equal parts classic and modern. A tailored topcoat was given a fresh spin through a striped tee, while shredded jeans were effortlessly tucked into his Yeezy 750s. Sneakers proved to be universally popular, as seen on actor Douglas Booth and singers Labrinth and Tinie Tempah. Booth offset his double-breasted jacket and turtleneck look with throwback gazelles, while Labrinth dressed down a suit with classic Converse high-tops. Meanwhile, Tempah lightened up his print-on-print look with streamlined snow-white lace-ups.
Meanwhile, music men Machine Gun Kelly, Mark Ronson, and A$AP Rocky all marched to their own beat. MGK channeled a Ramones vibe with a hint of Saint Laurent modernism, but it was Mark Ronson who truly brought gentlemanly elegance to the week. Ronson nodded to ’70s runway trends in a muted palette of coffee, navy, and gold, while simultaneously putting a cool spin on geek-chic styling. And leave it to A$AP Rocky to demonstrate how to do gender-fluid dressing with swagger. The multitalented artist kept cool in a teddy bear coat and hoodie, and borrowed from the girls, stepping out in the Gucci fur-trimmed slide and proving that It boys can wear fashion’s favorite shoe, too.
