With red carpet season starting just after the new year, Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo decided to bring a touch of Hollywood glamour to New York with a lavish soiree. Inside, the luxury label worked with Bureau Betak to create a series of fantasy settings: vanities filled with Ferragamo handbags, shoes strewn about with makeup and sunglasses, as well as some more interactive vignettes. Trying her hand behind the wheel of a vintage Alfa Romeo speedster on display was actress Michelle Monaghan wearing a hunter green leather Ferragamo ensemble, channeling a modern-day Ava Gardner. In another alcove, the film Ferragamo Signature—starring Elettra Wiedemann and Ethan Peck—was being shown, and guests like Julianne Moore and Russell Simmons snuck away for a quiet moment to catch the flick and munch on popcorn. And leave it to the model contingent, including Daisy Clementine Smith, Pyper America Smith, Hari Nef, and more, to take to the plush pink bedroom setup to catch a few comfy moments before heading back out to the celebration. Just like the old Italian proverb “a ogni ucccello il suo nido è bello” (loosely: “there’s no place like home”), the Italian fashion house has clearly made itself at home in Hollywood and New York.
